Ready to Run!

I haven't run all week because my right knee has really been bothering me and I had a head cold. Today, I am sniffle-free and my knee brace was on, so I was pumped to get a great workout in. I repeated last week's Couch to 5K training session:

0:00-5:00: Warm-up
5:00-8:00: Jog (5.1 mph)
8:00-9:30: Walk
9:30-14:30: Jog (5.1 mph)
14:30-17:00: Walk
17:00-20:00: Jog (5.1 mph)
20:00-21:30: Walk
21:30-26:30: Jog (5.1 mph)
26:30-30:00: Brisk walk
30:00-35:00: Cool down

This is my new the knee brace. I was skeptical that a thin strip of fabric would solve the problem, but it helped a lot! I was pain free (and still am).

For lunch, I ate a salad with yellow peppers, feta, and olives. I finally finished off the curried chicken and lentils with a some leftover rice. For "dessert" I ate an orange.

This afternoon I have to head to the gym to prepare for "Officials Appreciation Night" at the basketball games (fingers crossed that it goes well and the refs aren't complete idiots). Since I'll be watching basketball all night, my dinner plans include:

Feta & craisin spinach salad
Peanut butter & jelly sandwich
Apple
(and maybe a Tootsie Roll Pop)
